I take only 3 clients onboard each month to allow myself to continue running all of my ventures and still give my full attention to each of my mentees. I am a firm believer in quality over quantity.
I purposely strive to work with people who I believe have the greatest potential, willingness to put in the work, and who I can tell will take the necessary steps forward to implement change in their business. I am blessed to be at a point in my career where I get to choose who I work with; and it is very important for me to work with those who spark my joy and radiate something special. I am most drawn to those who are willing to take chances on themselves to grow.
YES, you can absolutely write off mentoring and it is the best kind of expense; it is an investment that will yield a high return if you take action on what we work on together.
Hey, I get it—business owners have crazy schedules! During onboarding, we will do our best to find a time slot that works best with both of our schedules. If I am able to prioritize your sessions, I expect you do the same with our time together. If either of us has a schedule change, we should let the other know as soon as possible. I will always try to make up your session, within reason. Any lack of communication with sessions missed may result in you losing that session.
I would let them know that all great business owners do it or have done it at one point in their life. I have hired two mentors myself over the years! Whenever I want to see a major change or shift in my business, I hire a like-minded, experienced mentor to bounce my ideas off of and keep me moving in the right direction.
