Where has this year gone? It’s hard to believe this week we’ll be gathering around the table to carve the turkey. As soon as we finish the pumpkin pie, you know what comes next… holiday shopping!

Whether you’re braving the crowds, or shopping from the comfort of your home, consider shopping small this weekend. This Saturday, November 26th is Small Business Saturday, a day spent celebrating and supporting small businesses. 

Now more than ever, it’s extremely helpful to “Shop Small” this holiday season. Here are a few more ways you can show your support.

SHARE ON SOCIAL

Word of mouth is such a powerful tool. Small businesses don’t have the marketing budget or large reach of a big box retailer. By taking a moment to share a business’ social post it can have a lasting positive impact, and it doesn’t cost you a thing! 

Fave local restaurant hosting a dinner special? Share it! Your go-to boutique just got new arrivals? Share it! For example, La Belle is running a November Special: 20% Off Any New Set of Lashes for newly booked appointments in November. We’ve been running this special on Instagram, and anyone who shares this post would be supporting our business.

Every time you share a business’ post, new eyes are seeing it and they just might turn into new customers. 

At La Belle Studio the way we give back to our fellow small businesses are to show support through joint giveaway collaborations, creating collaborative content to get more eyes on all of the small businesses in the area, AND on Small Business Saturday we are having a pop up event at both studios!  

We have Charm City Links coming in to do Permanent Jewelry and Jenn’s Jawns doing a plant pop-up at our Wilmington studio.  Come show support to some of your favorite local businesses!

Whenever I have a positive experience with a business, I love to tell others! When you experience excellent customer service, consider leaving a review. It only takes a couple minutes to write up why you love x, y, z about a business on their Facebook page, Google Business Profile, or website.

Gift cards are literally the gift that keeps on giving. Gift cards continue to be a great way to show your support, and to ensure the recipient gets exactly what they want. Win-win.

GIVING BACK
